Ifa said that with patience and a bit of work you will achieve what you want, do not be greedy. Do not become involved in gossip, because you will pay for it,trouble with your own family. That if it is a man that is being read that you have a pregnant woman or recently delivered. That to you good things will come, but sometimes they slip from your hands or they escape. It said that you will reach a good position and someone will help you to get there and will then become your helper. Some of your own family envies you and they are your worst enemies, that there will come a time when they will even throw you out of their home, Your parents love you as much as that other person. But the rest of your family is not good to you.

Ifa said that they are working witchcraft with you. Be careful that they do not destroy you. That you have a lot of evil lying on top of you. Ifa asks if you have had an abortion. If not, you have to be careful you do not miscarry when you do become pregnant.

Ifa said to feed the door of your house that you will have good fortune that will come but if you have Shilekun against you, the good fortune will not come. It said that you must receive Santo’s and that you must receive ishe Osain to guard you against your enemies since here is where the pact between Ogun, Orunmila and Osain was born. That you will probably cross the oceans because someone will send for you and there you will find wealth and abundance. It said that in your house there is a person with a prominent curved nose that is an ass kisser. It said to offer four ecru’s to Obatala so that he may defend you.

Ifa said that you are always crying. That you are a very sentimental person. That people speak of you but for you not to listen. That your fortune will change and after this is all over you will laugh. To be careful with your sharp tongue. That everybody knows your plans because you state them and this could make it easier for some enemy to derail them.

Ifa Verses
Ifa was cast for the people of Ilabesan on the day their king died. Ifa said they should bring an elephant with which to make a sacrifice. All the hunters of the town tried to catch an elephant, but failed; tortoise said that he would do it. He took all the things that the mouth eats and carried them to elephant. When elephant had tasted them, tortoise said, “these are the things that you, elephant, will be eating if you come home so that they can make you king, because the king of the town has died, and you are the one they want to make king.” When elephant heard this he was happy and he followed tortoise.
when they entered the town the people began to cheer. Elephant was frightened but tortoise encouraged him, saying, “don't you see how happy the townspeople are to see you?” But before elephant and tortoise had entered the town, the townspeople had dug a big pit for them, just as the tortoise had instructed before he went into the forest to get the elephant. When elephant had entered the town the townspeople had placed a mat over the pit. And they said that elephant should come and sit upon it, because the mat would be the throne on which he was to sit. When elephant tried to sit down on the mat, the mat fell into the pit. Then the townspeople took sticks and killed him. Thus the townspeople were able to sacrifice an elephant for the good of the town, with the help of tortoise. And the town began to run smoothly again.
Ifa said there is someone whose head will place him in an important position, but that the person who will help him will come to his aid suddenly, and someone he does not expect will be his helper.

Ifa was cast for “cat” when he was trading everyday, but having his profits slip from his grasp. Ifa said he should sacrifice six needles, six pigeons and three shillings. He made the sacrifice. From that time on, cat has never again had things slip from his grasp.
Ifa said there is someone who is having everything slip from his grasp; he should offer sacrifice so that things will never slip from his grasp again.

“to pay homage from afar” was the one who cast Ifa for fire. He said wherever fire should turn, there would be a way for him; he said his head would open the way for him. He said fire should sacrifice three cocks, one shilling, seven pence eight oninis and plenty of palm oil. Fire made the offering.
Ifa said someone wants to do something; he should make a sacrifice, so that the way will be clear for him, because if he should sacrifice, he will be able to do whatever he wants-whether it is work or an important thing that he wants to do.

Proverbs

Ifa says:
You state your case in the morning and you are not vindicated, and at nightfall you plead with the king to delay a bit and listen to what you have to say; isn't what you have to say in the evening the same thing you said in the morning?
